From the recording Time Shop
Lyrics
"The Decision"
(Lyrics – D. Ecnoz, M. Novak, Music – D. Echnoz)
In an old part of town I passed a shop something about it made me stop
In the window I saw a small tattered sign all that it said was “Got Time?”
Curiosity pulled me inside off to my left was a desk high and wide
I saw a dark figure sitting in the shadows the sign on his desk said
“Time Keeper”
Travel posters were everywhere suddenly I became aware
This was not your typical shop he showed me many places I’d like to stop
Ford Theater and Dealey Plaza places in history with such drama
The time keeper asked if I want to go but the price is high to view the show
CHORUS:
The Time Keeper holds the key to the past
The Time Keeper sees the future just ask
The Time Keeper says don’t decide too fast
It might be your last chance
The Time Keeper he asked my choice but warned me to be a silent voice
“There’s a danger” he said “going back to the past I could change history so fast.”
Fix one thing just one tiny thing, what other changes will it bring
Saving Lincoln would be so noble but the outcome could be so global
I don’t think that I’m the one I wont change what’s already done
The outcome I fear of my decision may cause historical revision
Richer or poorer for better or worse I won’t write history’s new verse
As I turn around to leave the shop I know that time will never stop
CHORUS:
CHORUS:
